Logo Design
Logo redesign for construction and remodelling company AC Builders.
Commissioned by AC Builders to create a new logo for their company that was modern and better reflected their brand identity. AC Builders is located in Nosara, Costa Rica and builds beautiful villas that blend into their lush, green surroundings. They focus on residential and commercial properties around Guanacaste.
Project Goals
The design process began with initial client alignment meetings to establish the project goals and the overall vision for the logo. I started by creating a mood board, pulling different sources of inspiration into one place. This helped to build off of the client’s needs and provide them with a visual direction for the logo.
AC Builders wanted a logo that was:
clean, simplistic and modern
easily recognizable
tropical and green
They also wanted several variations of the logo that they could use for marketing and promotional materials (e.g. signs, social media, t-shirts, etc.).

Ideation Process
The logo needed to be easily recognizable, so I wanted to incorporate the letters of the company, A and C, and use them to create building formations to represent their construction services. I started with black and white designs so that I could focus on the logo’s true form, and later added in variations of green to reflect the natural Costa Rican environment. To encompass the company’s tropical brand, I also incorporated several iterations of leaf illustrations and finally landed on a monstera plant outline, which is a very well-known tropical plant found in Costa Rica.

Final Logo Design
After two rounds of design revisions, I provided AC Builders with a complete package that included all of their graphic assets in multiple formats, for digital and print use. I also provided a logo file guide (seen below) with tips on using the logo variations and use case examples.
